Medical Acupuncture (dry needling) involves inserting fine needles for a therapeutic effect, specifically for releasing muscle pain. It uses the Chinese method just using modern up-to-date knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Needles are inserted in specific areas of the muscles depending on what pain condition the client presents. It is an extremely effective way of triggering a process in the body that releases pain. This method is now recognised by the NHS. This is not the same as TCM and does not treat systematic health conditions.
